Fashion at the Met

Today we went to the Met and saw a lovely exhibit- It's called Impressionism, Fashion, and Modernity, and it was fantastic! It's pretty long and crowded, but they've grouped the clothing into comprehensive sections like "the white dress", and even if you're not too into fashion it's good because it's more about how painters such as Renoir and Tissot tried to evolve their paintings to advance their career by painting more modern subjects, and how every artist is a product of the era. Of course, this lead to fashion, and in the exhibit there are some of the original dresses pictured in the paintings, which is super cool. It's in town until sometime in May, so if you're in the area, stop by and take a look!!
