Don Quixote



I am an admitted ballet aficionado. I spend an ungodly amount of hours on YouTube watching videos of my favourite dancers' performances, interviews, and masterclasses. As for myself, I have long since given up the dream of being a professional dancer (Ballet companies don't usually go for the short muscular girls who haven't been doing ballet for forever).

So, when I got wind of the fact that Natalia Osipova and Ivan Vasiliev would be dancing their signature roles in Don Quixote, naturally I grabbed tickets. I am simply in love with their dynamic (they're married!) and their energy. Although the lines and the technique of the pair are distinctly lacking, they more than make up for it in energy, the height of their jumps, and how obviously they love what they're doing. They are surely among the best in the world, and I really, truly adore them.
